To mark the 251st anniversary of the opening of the Bridgewater Canal on 16 July 1761 New Manchester Walks on water during our cruise covering the original Manchester to Worsley route. We will set off from the water by the Castlefield Hotel, as usual, but stay on the Bridgewater Canal all the way to Worsley – past Pomona, Man Utd, Trafford Park, the Trafford Centre and through the Barton Aqueduct – with full historic commentary, as always.

Beware: this is one-way only. Plenty of buses go back to central Manchester after a pie and a pint at one of the tasty Worsley pubs.
