Romantic, erotic, sensual, passionate, brooding, wild, windy and wuthering. And that’s before you’ve even joined the walk.

Haworth, a tiny moorside village in West Yorkshire, is one of the most famous literary locations in the world, thanks to Emily Bronte’s disturbing 1845 novel, Wuthering Heights.

We will explore delightful, quaint and charming Haworth and its environs, a dark landscape of brooding hills, windy moors and melancholy valleys that so inspired Emily and her two brilliant sisters, Anne and Charlotte, both renowned novelists, and continues to mesmerise poets and performers, from Kate Bush to Patti Smith.

Join us on a mooch around the village and a quick sneak onto the moors of Bronte Country, home of Heathcliff and Wuthering Heights, before it gets “dark and lonely, on the other side”.

* This is a long one, ending at the Wuthering Heights pub natch.
* Best bring walking boots.
