Meet: Victoria Station wallmap, 11am.
Everywhere you go in Manchester city centre there's a plaque in blue, black, red or even green to a major figure from the city's past, to a momentous event or just signifying a very important building.
Ed Glinert, the city's most prolific tour guide, will introduce you to these luminaries and dedications, from Robert Owen, one of the greatest Britons who ever lived, to the lack of a plaque outside the Pankhursts' shop, to the wrong plaques by the so-called IRA pillar box and outside the Midland Hotel!
Who knew it could all be so confusing?!
